Les Bulles Rose made by the classic méthode champenoise from the autochthonous variety of Burgundy and Teran. The rare combination of base rosé wine from 2019 was created with the idea of combining noble Borgonja Istriana with the freshness of Terano.
There are few winemakers who still cultivate Borgonja Istriana, and even fewer who make sparkling wine from it. Having very good experiences and results with previous sparkling wines from Borgonja Istriana, the idea was born to combine the years of deep maturation of Borgonja grapes with Teran in order to enrich the complexity of Borgonja Istriana with the freshness of Teran.
This sparkling wine is made from grapes that grow on a specific Istrian soil known as 'crvenica' (terra rossa), and is distinctively red in color and rich in iron. The grapes were picked at the Bačva-Bušure location. Les Bulles from the Roxanich cellar always comes out as a wine that has passed the first dégorgement, which occurs after or approximately two years of aging the wine on yeasts. Les Bulles Rose was aged for 24 months until the first dégorgement, and the dégorgements that will follow will be called Les Petites Bulles Istrienes Rose.
It is characterized by a beautiful copper color, pure as light honey and refined by small and fine beading of bubbles. Aromas of ripe cherries and tomatoes, followed by ripe yeasts and the smell of vanilla, redefine the limits of what is possible in its category. Like all sparkling wines from the Roxanich cellar, the dégorgement was carried out without the addition of expedition liqueur, which gives this wine the label Brut Nature or Zéro Dosage. Les Bulles Rose radiates freshness, but with a highly emphasized fruity complexity. With each tiny bubble, the aromas intensify and bring a specific pleasure with each sip.
Roxanich Les Bulles Rose is a balanced sparkling wine, with the intensity of flavor characteristic of the magic of the Burgonja Istriana variety and freshness from Teran. At the same time so natural and so avant-garde, Les Bulles Rose is a kind of challenge to create the most creative gastronomic creations.
