Les Bulles Blanc is the new vintage of our white sparkling wine, a limited series, made using the classic méthode champenoise from the autochthonous variety of Malvazija Istriana.
Malvazija Istriana, as one of the most recognizable Istrian white varieties, transfers its original character to Les Bulles Blanc sparkling wine. The grapes were harvested at a specially chosen moment to give the wine the necessary freshness for sparkling wine, but on the other hand, the harvest was at the moment of optimal ripeness, which later enables long fermentations.
This sparkling wine is made from grapes that grow on a specific Istrian soil known as 'crvenica' (terra rossa), and is distinctively red in color and rich in iron. The grapes were picked at the Bačva-Bušure location. Natural base wine from the 2019 vintage, spontaneously fermented on its own yeasts. The classic méthode champenoise was used for secondary fermentation and 24 months of aging on yeasts before the first dégorgement. Les Bulles Blanc 2019 is the first edition of the white sparkling wine from 2019, which in the next two dégorgements will bear the name Les Petites Bulles Istrienes Blanc. Like all sparkling wines from the Roxanich cellar, the dégorgement was carried out without the addition of expedition liqueur, which gives this wine the label Brut Nature or Zéro Dosage.
As a sparkling white wine, Roxanich Les Bulles Blanc is also different from the conventional. It is characterized by the beautiful golden color of the Malvazija Istria, refined by the tiny beading of the bubbles. The aromas of acacia flower and almond milk, later combined with yeasts, give this sparkling wine beautiful final buttery notes. Les Bulles Blanc will nicely accompany all dishes, especially fish. Its refinement is ideal for the beginning of any gastronomic experience as an aperitif, and its elegance is worthy of celebrating every special moment in life.
Completely without the addition of liqueur, it leaves an impression of freshness with an emphasis on playfulness. At the same time so natural and so gentle, Les Bulles Blanc is a kind of introduction to Roxanich sparkling wines, but at the same time a challenging companion to the most creative gastronomic creations.
